Happy almost November, everyone! What a crazy year this has been so far. 2020 has flown by and half the time I still think we are in April. It’s so hard to believe that all of these holidays are coming up so fast. With Covid-19, elections and holidays right around the corner, it can be hard to remember to take a deep breath, slow down and enjoy the moment. Lately I’ve been feeling a little frazzled (with everything that is happening in this world) so I’ve decided to take some take and challenge myself for the month of November. Starting on November 1st I am going to spend 5 minutes each day thinking about something I am feeling grateful for that day. Sounds pretty easy, right? It doesn’t need to be huge things. For instance, it can be as simple as I’m grateful for my dog Lola, the fact that I have a roof over my head or that I am able to go outside and breathe in fresh air. This is a really good pick- me- up on a day when you’re feeling down. Trust me with everything happening right now this could definitely get your spirts up! There are so many reasons to be grateful and since Thanksgiving will be here in a few weeks, this seems like the perfect time to start keeping track. I am a big list person so I’m just going to write a few things down that I am happy about that day. If you don’t have a journal go out and pick one up. Leave it in a place where you’ll remember it and will look at it. It could be by your bed, by the coffee machine or even in the bathroom. I’ve done this challenge in the past where I wrote down 5 things I was grateful for that day and I love to go back and read all the wonderful things, both big and small, that made my heart feel full. So I challenge you as we get closer to November to join me and spend 5 or so minutes really thinking of what has made you grateful for that day. Trust me it will be a really uplifting thing to do when the world has gone a little crazy.
