Originally from Marlborough, MA, attended the University of New Hampshire where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in General Biology. Post graduation, she worked as a technician at the University of Massachusetts doing Molecular Biology Research on Breast Cancer genes. Dr. Morrisroe then attended the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL on a scholarship. The chiropractic program is an intensive 5 year program that is condensed into 3.5 years by working though the summers.
Additional Training and Education
A Chiropractor in Portland, Dr. Morrisroe also has additional training and education in Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Digestive Enzyme Therapy. She has also completed courses in Applied Kinesiology and in the Activator Protocol.
Dr. Morrisroe has a second Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology, a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree and a Masters in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Morrisroe successfully passed all of the required portions of the National Board Examinations as well as the Maine State Board Exam to become licensed.
In May 2006, Dr. Morrisroe opened Absolute Health Chiropractic. Since that time, the chiropractic clinic has relocated to The Bay Club in One City Center. In 2014, Absolute Health Chiropractic and Massage expanded and moved to the first floor of One City Center.
Dr. Morrisroe is one of few Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) in Maine. This additional education enhanced her knowledge of sports related injuries. In 2017, Dr. Caitlin completed her CACCP from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. Completing over 200 hours in pre/post natal, infant and child adjusting as well as completing a rigorous testing process allows Dr. Caitlin to treat pregnant women and children at a higher level. Child bodies aren’t just “small adults” and advanced, gentle adjustment techniques are utilized.

Dr. Morrisroe’s varied background allows her to target each issue from many different angles. She fully believes in treating the whole person, not just the pain. In her down time, Dr. Morrisroe can be found ski patrolling on the weekends at Sunday River, reading, spending time with her dogs or on the water stand up paddleboarding.
