Hello! My name is Marissa and I’m thrilled to join the team at AHC as the new Front Desk/Financial Manager. Chelsea, Emily, and Dr. Cait have made my start here fantastic and I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity!
Having spent the last eleven years in Oklahoma, I have just recently moved back home to Maine! It was hard to leave friends and family, but I missed Maine and knew in my heart that is where my daughter, Emma, and I needed to be. Suffice it to say that we are both ecstatic to be official Mainers and are looking forward to our new journey here.
Coming from a family of nurses and caregivers, I have a long background in the healthcare field, but at my last job, I worked with children at an elementary school as the Extended Care Director, Lunch Program Director, Teacher’s Assistant, and the Director of Development. Which means, I got to be involved in almost every aspect of their school day and I absolutely loved it! However, it feels good to get back to a field that I am incredibly passionate about. Taking care of people has always been a big part of my life’s purpose and I feel right at home at AHC.
On the weekends, you can find me walking down by the pier in OOB, playing at the river with the pups, going on adventures with my kiddo, or relaxing at home while working on one of my writing projects (I truly aspire to be a successful author one day)! I can’t forget to mention my ‘little old lady’ fur baby, Nikki, who also gets to be a Mainer now too!
