If you look at this picture you might just think this little guy is pretty flexible. Truth is, he is. But he’s also has great mobility and stability. I would be confident saying that everyone reading this has done a squat, as above, in their lifetime before. However, if I asked you to do one now, chances are that you would not be able to duplicate it.

What’s the difference between mobility and flexibility?. I’ll simplify it here. Mobility is the range of motion of a joint. Flexibility is refers to muscle length.

If you look at this picture, he’s mobile at the ankles, hips, and thoracic spine. His hamstrings and adductors (inner thigh) are flexible. He’s stable at his knee, lumbar spine, and scapula.

Everybody needs mobility, stability, and flexibility. During active care sessions we address all of these areas to make movement easier, which makes life easier.
